Tuesday 2nd September-
6.30pm - Beginners Course
This is a 6 week course suitable for the complete beginner to yoga and also for those who would like a refresher. This course will serve as a perfect introduction to yoga asanas, (learning safe alignment for each posture and including both active and passive postures for strength building and also deep relaxation), meditation, breathing practices, relaxation and yoga philosophy. This will be a progressive course leaving you feeling confident with the fundamentals.
8pm - Mindful Flow
This class will be a slow mindful flow with an individual theme each week, suitable for all levels and for people who are looking to be gently challenged, but who also want to leave feeling blissfully relaxed.
Wednesday 3rd September-
6.30pm - Back Care Course
On a daily basis I see clients in my clinic with low back and hip and pelvis pain, for the first time I am offering this public class where together we will breathe new life into the low back. This is a great class if you have any concerns about your back or just want to join a class where this area of the body is catered for. We will discover what really constitutes "the core", learn corrective exercises, self massage and learn correct alignment for you and your back. This course will offer modifications to suit any level and will be respectful of your physical boundaries at all times whilst looking to increase your mobility, health and awareness of your spine.
8pm - Prenatal Yoga
A brand new 6 week course delivered in a completely different format than ever before. During this course you will learn optimal postural alignment, the myths surrounding the pelvic floor will be revealed, self massage, yoga postures both active and restorative, breathing techniques, relaxation and so much more. If you want to not only enjoy your time during pregnancy but to thrive this is the course for you.
Sunday 7th September-
6pm- Rest and Restore Sunday Sanctuary
Ahhh!! This class is the perfect antidote to modern life and is ideal if you're looking for a gentler approach to yoga. This class is geared towards complete relaxation where we will be looking to "yoga citta vritta nirodha" (progressively quieten the fluctuations of the mind) through passive yoga postures, gentle movement, breathing techniques, mudra, meditation and relaxation.
7.30pm - Yoga For The Active Sunday Sanctuary
Whether you are a weekend warrior or a sports person or just someone that likes to stay active and busy this course of classes will be a wonderful cross-trainer to your chosen sport/activity and will challenge your body/mind with physical postures and corrective exercise. During the course of classes you will also learn the benefits of passive yoga and relaxation to counteract the high intensity training that you do.
All above courses are held as 6 week courses at The Travel Inn, Fossa and investment for each course is €60 except the Prenatal Yoga course which is €70.
