Prenatal Yoga
After experiencing a Yoga practice through two of my three pregnancies and receiving the wonderful benefits both during the pregnancy and through both labours, I really wanted to share the amazing benefits that this practice has to offer.
Prenatal yoga classes are a wonderful way to connect to yourself, connect with the beautiful life growing inside of you and connect with other mums to be in a safe nurturing environment. Pregnancy yoga is suitable for both beginners and more experienced yoga practitioners. During pregnancy, yoga can play a key role in enhancing the experience of this precious time and empower the mother to be to have the most conscious birth experience. Yoga can help women enjoy their pregnancy with minimal discomfort, cultivate breath awareness and strengthen the body in preparation for labour.
There is an emphasis in my classes on breath, fluid movement and posture and strengthening the supportive postural muscles.
